Guarantors, teachers and boards
Behind every academic decision there is a named person who answers for it. Here is how the faculty is organised, what each role decides, and what remains reserved to a human being.
Who answers for what
Three roles, three perimeters, and no overlap: that is what makes it possible to know, for any decision, whom to address. The list of guarantors and the composition of boards are given to any applicant who asks, even before enrolment.
The school guarantor
They answer for their field's curriculum, chair the board and sign the deliberations. It is a named responsibility, not an honorific.
The teacher from the field
They run the workshops, settle grades on open-ended work and write the feedback that makes revision possible.
The board of practitioners
It receives defences, asks an employer's questions and rules on real mastery rather than on a plan's compliance.
The acts reserved to a person
A system prepares much and decides little. The boundary is written, it is the same in every school, and it does not move from one programme to another. It is the condition for an award made here to mean the same thing everywhere.
- Pronouncing an admission or an exclusion, with a written reason
- Settling the final grade on open-ended work
- Awarding a qualification and signing the board's minutes
- Ruling on an appeal, as a person distinct from the first marker
- Granting a year's suspension and setting the terms of resumption
How you join the faculty
- 01
Practice in the field
The first criterion is real practice of the occupation taught. A cybersecurity module goes to someone who defends systems.
- 02
An observed session
Recruitment goes through a workshop run in front of the school guarantor, with a real group and a piece of work due.
- 03
An availability commitment
Marking and response times are contractual: a teacher commits to a pace before taking on a module.
- 04
A seat on the board
After a full year, the teacher sits on their field's board and takes part in the deliberations they will have prepared.
The response times we hold
- working days for an admission decision
- 10
- named guarantor per school
- 1
- human re-examination on request
- 1
- of tutor access, every day
- 24 h

Questions about supervision
Can I know my teachers' names before enrolling?
Yes. The list of school guarantors, with their field and background, is given to any applicant who asks. Module teachers are announced in the work plan published at the intake.
How many students does a teacher follow?
Workshops run in small groups, because that is the size at which a technique can be corrected. The number is set per module and appears in the work plan, along with the marking times the teacher commits to.
