One year, week by week
What a week of study looks like, and what remains of it after twelve months. The sequence below is the one the work plan publishes at the intake, for every long-form programme.
The rhythm of a week
A week is not divided into lecture hours but into four moves, always the same. You spread them as you like: no slot is imposed, and the only firm marker is the submission date.

Read and prepare
The module opens with a situation to handle and the resources that illuminate it. You take them offline if your network calls for it.
- 02
Produce
The heart of the week: a deliverable to build, a decision to argue, a system to bring back up. The tutor answers at any hour.
- 03
Compare
Live workshop or peer review: your work meets other people's, and the gap teaches more than the grade.
- 04
Submit and revise
The work goes out, the marking comes back with comments, and any revision happens before the next module opens.
What the week weighs
The load is not decided: it is derived. 60 credits a year, 10 supervised hours and 15 personal hours per credit, 30 teaching weeks: the division lands on the figure each programme page states, between 13 and 20 hours.

The thread of the year
- 01
Intake
Dated work plan, learning space opened, first contact with your cohort and your faculty adviser.
- 02
First semester
Foundation modules follow one another, the year's project receives its scoping and its first milestone review.
- 03
Synthesis assessment
The main sitting closes the semester. Its date has been known since the intake, leaving time to plan around it.
- 04
Second semester
Advanced modules open, the project enters its build phase and live workshops close in around it.
- 05
Defence
The project is defended before working practitioners, who ask an employer's questions rather than an examiner's.
- 06
Board meeting
Results are settled, credits recorded in the competency record, and every decision notified in writing with its reason.
What you have produced after a year
- A project carried end to end, defended and added to your competency record
- A series of deliverables marked and commented, linked to the competencies they evidence
- 60 credits earned, backed by 600 supervised hours
- Group work carried out with a cohort spread across several cities
- A transcript and a certificate of enrolment available on request
Questions about how it runs
What happens if a week is lost?
Content stays open and submissions can be caught up: the work plan gives the dates, and a delay is flagged to your faculty adviser, who adjusts the deadline. The module is validated on your final deliverable, not on the date of your first attempt.
Are live workshops mandatory?
They are offered and recorded, and you follow them when it suits you. The only firm dates of the year are those of assessments and the defence, published from the intake onwards.
